LittlePINKBook.com’s 8th Annual Fall Empowerment Event a Big Hit
Top Female Execs Offered Tips to Succeed in the C-Suite
Atlanta (November 30, 2012) — LittlePINKBook.com, the No. 1 digital platform for career women, hosted its 8th Annual Fall Empowerment Event on Nov. 13, 2012. More than 300 professional women attended the luncheon event, at the Atlanta History Center, along with more than 550 unique viewers joining via live stream. Some viewers planned gatherings of 50 or more women and leveraged the event to enhance their own business and networking meetings in cities across the globe.
The executives on the panel candidly answered questions related to their career paths to the C-Suite. Glenda Umaña, anchor at CNN en Español, was the event’s moderator. Read LittlePINKBook.com’s “Top 10 Takeaways” for favorite thoughts shared by the three panelists:
Cynthia Good, CEO and founding editor of LittlePINKBook.com, emceed the event and fielded viewer’s questions via Twitter. “The women who attended and watched across the country had serious questions about what it takes to get ahead and what compromises they’ll have to make, from missing time with kids to conforming to corporate culture,” said Good. “Our panelists offered enlightening, as well as humorous, insight into their lives as successful career women. Our team believes the sharing of their experiences will help in the efforts to increase the presence of women in the C-Suite.”
A raffle for spectacular gift baskets and certificates was held at the event to raise funds to support women and girls. A donation of $915 was raised and given to the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. To date, LittlePINKBook.com has donated more than $75,000 to various nonprofit organizations.
