2022 Insights from Chloe Barzey

Are you attending PINK’s Signature Spring Empowerment Event? It’s coming up soon on May 5th, and registrations are filling up fast!

At the event, you’ll meet speaker, Chloe Barzey. Chloe is the Atlanta Office Managing Director at Accenture, a leading global professional services company providing a broad range of services and solutions (in strategy, consulting, technology and operations) that deliver on the promise of technology and human ingenuity.

She has over 29 years consulting and industry experience, including 23 years with Accenture and has some interesting information to share at the event.

Recently, we caught up with Chloe and asked her a few questions. Here are a few insights from that conversation:

1. What are three, specific things women can do now to move them closer to their goals?

a. Dream big about what you want to do. Many times, we limit ourselves by what we think is available versus what we can actually do.

b. Identify mentors, advisors and sponsors. Each can play a unique and instrumental role in helping us identify the options available to us and pathways to get there.

c. Self-care. The more we can take care of ourselves (mentally, physically, spiritually), the better we are along each step of the journey.

2. What were the biggest obstacles for you in your career?

Early in my career the biggest obstacles were the ones in my mind, there were also external challenges but once I cleared the hurdles of self-doubt the easier it became to stand up to and tackle the other ones.

3. What helped you break through?

I was able to build confidence through small wins and the ability to bounce back even after failures. After a while, the small wins became bigger, and I learned to ask for help early and often and bounce back faster as I built my confidence and resilience.

Thanks Chloe! Would you like to learn more?
