Companies like Stella and Dot offer in-home trunk shows to showcase their pieces. Plus, stylist positions are available – women can sign on to sell items to contacts and friends out of their homes.

Four times a year, Carlisle consultants throw shopping parties to turn their homes into a private showroom with one-on-one wardrobe consultations. “[It takes] the worry, planning and impulse buys out of the scenario,” Luann Sampson, director of merchandising for Carlisle, tells PINK. Plus, alterations are free.
Others like Ann Roth Shoes let you host private parties for your friends that include custom design consultations.
LILL throws handbag parties at homes or businesses. The best part? As hostess, you get a discount based on how many bags are sold, along with the chance to enjoy the company of like-minded women.
