Access to Contacts, Contracts and Capital Highlight 28th Annual Entrepreneurial Woman’s Conference

The Women’s Business Development Center hosted a highly-successful 28th Annual Entrepreneurial Woman’s Conference on September 17 at Chicago’s McCormick Place-West, drawing more than 1,600 prospective, emerging and established women business owners, public and private sector supplier diversity decision-makers and government officials.

Themed Your Growth Is Our Business, the Conference focused on providing attendees with access to valuable connections, contract opportunities, information and resources to grow their businesses.

Highlights included an Opening Night Awards Reception honoring successful female entrepreneurs and supporters of women’s economic development. On Wednesday, the Women’s Empowerment Luncheon featured keynote speaker Judy Smith, America’s number one crisis management expert and inspiration for ABC’s hit series “Scandal.” The event also included the Women’s Business Fair Midwest, Contract Connections and four breakout sessions with experts speaking on topics that ranged from online branding to mergers and acquisitions. The event concluded with the EWC After Hours Reception where winners of the Ready, Set, Grow! Pitch Contest were announced.
