Does Your Content Work?

Does Your Content Work to Boost Sales and Provide Value?

The holidays are here, and you just distributed a big email sending people to a landing page with a special sale . But, you aren’t getting any responses. What’s going on? Well, does your content work? Everyone is extremely busy right now so you may have missed some simple errors that turn customers away.

With this in mind, here are some quick tips to improve your content for better sales and happier customers…

5 Tips To Improve Your Writing Immediately

1. Don’t talk about yourself.

Is all of your content focused on you and your products and services? If so, it’s time for a change. People want to know what’s in it for them so talk about benefits instead of features.

2. Avoid sales language.

Is your copy all about Sell, Sell, Sell!? If so, you are doing yourself a disfavor. No one cares about what you are selling! Provide valuable information specific to your customers instead. Then, they will be more likely to buy.

3. Fix grammatical mistakes and misspellings.

Have you reviewed all of your content lately? If you find errors, fix them immediately. You don’t want to make a bad impression.

4. Show credibility.

If you talk about specific benefits of your products and services, be sure to back them up with facts. Offer research papers, survey data and even link to outside reports and articles that will confirm the ideas within your content.

5. Provide a call-to-action.

At the end of your content, do you provide the next step for customers to follow? Guide them through the process and let them know what they need to do to get more information, buy your products and more.

Do Some Content Work and Fix Sales!

Take a moment to review your writing. Confirm that you provide benefits, value, correct information, and credibility in all the content that you publish. Then, your customers will be more likely to care about what you have to say and want to find out more about your products and services. Good content can be a big factor in boosting sales. Do you have the right words in place for a happy holiday sales season?
