When was the last time you updated your website and looked at the content? If it has been more than a few days, you may be losing out on a lot of new business. Take a moment to look at it now. Is it speaking to the needs of your customers or does it focus on product and service features? People are rushed to find information that is cost-effective, credible and helpful. If potential customers can’t find what they need on your site within seconds, you’ll send them right to the competition – and this is a big problem. Instead, make it easy for site visitors to find solutions to their problems. Now, I know you have other priorities and updating your website may be a huge project. But it doesn’t need to take a lot of money. Simply take some time to review your site with your customers in mind, and remove all of the content that they just don’t care about. Check for: – Long-winded company information; – Unnecessary technical details about all of your product and services; – Grammatical errors and misspellings; – Old news and information; – Requests for private information; and – Any boring content that doesn’t benefit customers!
Just by spending a few minutes looking through your site, you may find some big mistakes that can be fixed quickly to boost traffic and conversion rates. Then, you can turn your focus to the bigger SEO projects, articles, podcasts, newsletters, and other online activities on your list to help grow sales.
