On October 13, 2010, Dress for Success will host Women in Business: Making Change at the Altman Building in New York City. For the third year, this fundraising breakfast will celebrate the success of women in business and support the career development and employment retention programs of Dress for Success. Many of the women who we serve have achieved financial freedom because of the assistance offered by other leading female professionals as well as the support of the Dress for Success Financial Literacy Program.
This year’s event will feature a keynote address from Karen Peetz, the Chief Executive Officer, Financial Markets and Treasury Services Group of BNY Mellon. Karen oversees the businesses of treasury services, corporate trust, depositary receipts, shareowner services, broker-dealer clearing, collateral management and alternative investment services – which together represent over a third of the company’s revenue. These businesses encompass 10,000 employees in 76 cities globally. Karen is also the chairperson for BNY Mellon’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) and has been a champion for the company’s support of Dress for Success.
