3 Simple Tips to Empower Your Day and See Faster Success

Female Entrepreneurs Seize the Year!

It’s Monday morning, and you really don’t want to get out of bed. You hit the snooze button a few times, and you are exhausted. Your chores, deadlines and responsibilities loom, and the blankets just seem softer and cozier than usual. Sound familiar? If so, it’s time to boost your energy, empower your day and feel good again about pursuing your goals. Need a little help? Here are…

3 Simple Tips to Empower Your Day and See Faster Success

1. Delegate.

What tasks do you dislike doing most?

Perhaps, you spend a lot of time on bookkeeping, research, updating spreadsheets, dealing with tech glitches, administrative tasks, and more?

Do you dread cleaning the house, cooking dinner, grocery shopping, and more?

Well, it’s time to think about hiring someone to do these tasks for you. While these may be necessities, you probably spend more resources doing these activities than you know. Stop and think about it.

Just how much money could you make with the time you spend on these undesirable chores?

How much stress and anxiety do you create for yourself doing these things on a monthly basis?

Instead, research various services and people who can provide assistance. There are numerous opportunities to help you get these things done… for less than you might think. By delegating these responsibilities over to others, you can accomplish more, make more money and be happier!

2. Write It Down.

Before you start your day or end it, write down what you want to accomplish. After all, if you don’t know what your priorities are, how are you going to get them finished the right way and in a timely manner?

You can just write a few things on a Post-It note, enter activities and events on your calendar, use a more comprehensive “goal” application, or something else. It just depends on what works best for you. With your “To Do” list, you can stay on track when the inevitable distractions come into your office on a regular basis.

Plus, it feels great to cross off the things you accomplish on your list each day!

3. Stay Positive.

Try to maintain a positive attitude no matter what happens. This will help you get through rough times, and inspire those around you. Yes, this can be difficult… especially if you are a “glass half-empty” type of person. However, studies have shown that people who are more positive are healthier and have more success.

For example, a recent study from the Stanford University School of Medicine indicates a “brain pathway that directly links a positive attitude with achievement.” After researchers studied over 200 children age seven to 10, they found that, “being positive improved their ability to answer math problems, increased their memories and enhanced their problem-solving abilities.”

Also, the Mayo Clinic found that, “positive thinking helps with stress management and can even improve your health,” and this includes: “increased life span, lower rates of depression and distress, greater resistance to the common cold, better psychological and physical well-being, better cardiovascular health and reduced risk of death from cardiovascular disease, and better coping skills during hardships and times of stress.”

Now, this may be a big change for you so take small steps. Write down what you are thankful for each day, do charity work, look at those less fortunate, and try to stop yourself when a negative comment or feeling pops into your head. Instead, try to think of all the positive aspects of what’s going around you and review all of the blessings you have.

Wake Up and Smell the Success!

If you haven’t felt a “zest” for your work and life goals lately, take a moment to assess your current activities, goals and attitude. Figure out where you can delegate tasks and get others to help you with chores that are tedious, time-consuming or just aren’t in your area of expertise. Also, write down your key priorities for each day. This will help you stay focused when the unexpected occurs, and you need to drop everything to handle the latest crisis. Finally, remind yourself to stay positive in all situations. This will not only help you feel better and be more successful, but it will motivate your team members too.

These may be three simple steps, but they can mean a huge difference in your life success! Ready to empower your day? Sign up for PINK’s Playbook for Success Event on May 10th here!
