Best MBA Programs

Always wanted to be a business expert, but unsure what programs are best for women? PINK’s got your back. More women are boosting up their salaries – and confidence – with a business degree.

With the economy slowly recovering, more than a third of companies are looking to hire more MBA graduates than they did last year, according to the Graduate Management Admission Council.

You’ve browsed through a few propective schools’ websites, but there are some less obvious strategies to help you decide which one is best for you. “Attend events like the Forté Forum (offered nationwide), conduct informational interviews with MBA alums, and research various MBA career paths,” says Elissa Sangster, executive director of the Forte Foundation.

Additionally, “Look for other learning-type extracurricular activities you can have while enrolled. They will help round out your MBA experience.” She suggests student clubs, internships and case study competitions. Sixty-six percent of job seekers who participated in an internship during their MBA program had an offer of employment at graduation, according to a GMAC study.

Did you know that women take the GMAT almost 9 months earlier than their male counterparts? They account for only 39 percent of total test takers. GMAC has the latest trends on everything to do with B-school.
