We just hosted our 5th Annual Spring Women Owners event. The event was focused on women in the food service industry and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit!

According to Bloomberg News,‘women occupy just 6.3 percent, or 10 out of 160 head chef positions at 15 prominent U.S. restaurant groups. Little PINK Book CEO Cynthia Good says, “The Recipe for Success Event, gave women the expert tips necessary to thrive in one of the toughest industries. The speakers and breakout session experts were inspiring! We laughed, became teary-eyed and determined to make entrepreneurial dreams come true!”

Keynote speaker Kat Cole, President of Cinnabon Inc. and shared her entrepreneurial success story starting as a Hooter’s hostess and rising up the ranks in the food service industry.

Attendees heard from Anne Quatrano, owner of Floataway Café, Bacchanalia, Abattoir and Star Provisions; Andra Hall, CamiCakes Cupcakes Owner; Sharmeen Hawkins, Soar Hospitality Group President and COO; and Jennifer Johnson, The General Muir and West Egg Cafe Owner.

The audience also had the chance to sample cuisine from some of the top restaurant owners in town – and meet the owners themselves!
