Hi Y’All! I spent the last four days at a Web Writing Intensive Conference in Austin, Texas. And now that I’m back, I can’t wait to use my new insights into PPC, e-mails, SEO, and online copywriting to help my clients boost sales.
And even though I’m excited about what I’ve learned and the experts I talked to, the best part about the entire trip was the people of Austin. Friendly, smiling faces were everywhere! This was my first trip to Texas, and how refreshing is was to meet people who were so “down-to-Earth” and willing to share a bit of cheer – especially with all the doom and gloom these days. And I can’t say enough about the Austin Airport. It is hands down the friendliest airport I’ve ever been to. I actually felt like a valued customer rather than part of a cattle herd! (Amazing, isn’t it? Especially in Texas!) I was treated with respect, and it actually changed my attitude. I wanted to spread cheer too! With this in mind, try to make someone smile today. You’ll be amazed at how it can change your mood. And think how great it would be if you shared this extra, Texas-style friendliess on a daily basis? You just may see an increase in sales, new customers or land that new job. Thanks Texas! You reminded me that there are still people out there who care about treating customers with respect, even when things aren’t going so well. I’ll be back!
