Lynn Tilker has intimate relations with Corporate America, her resume stacked with the likes of Cisco, Microsoft, IBM, and HP.
Yet, if you ask Tilker about her greatest accomplishment to date, she won’t mention her hand in international relations or global business management; instead, she’ll pull out her phone and show you a picture of her daughter, Harper.
Since her adoption, Harper has been the light of Tilker’s life and the inspiration behind her recent business venture.
As a single mom, frustrated by the lack of tools provided for parents to help potty train their kids, Tilker developed BottomZz Up®, an innovative potty training system that offers parents and kids less stress and environmental waste with more reward.
“As a society, we’ve turned one of the biggest milestones in a toddler’s life into something that is dreaded, messy, and stressful,” Tilker said. “This big leap from total dependence to independence should be fun and celebrated! I knew there had to be a better way to potty train that was not only fun but also fast and more environmentally friendly; which is why I created BottomZz Up.”
Make it Happen
The word no doesn’t exist in Tilker’s vocabulary. She’s steadfast in her decision making and follows her heart. She believes with the right attitude and overall understanding anything is possible and if you want something bad enough, you will find a way to make it happen.
Go for It!
If you have an idea you are passionate about, pursue it. Tilker believes only you can stop yourself.
Enjoy the Journey…
“It sounds cliché, but life is about the journey not the destination,” Tilker said. “I’m constantly striving to create the best life possible for my daughter and myself, but that doesn’t mean I’m not satisfied. I have been happy and content in every stage of my life. Growing and building your success is a long process, you need to enjoy the ride.”
