Every career woman has a romantic side. With Valentine’s Day coming up, you may be looking for a little va-va-voom for that date or special occasion. Need some expert advice on how, what and who to wear on this romantic holiday? Rent the Runway founders Jennifer Hyman and Jennifer Fleiss share their ideas on V-Day style, designer collections and more.
PINK: What are your tips for those who don’t want to wear red on Valentine’s Day?
JH: Wearing a red dress is not the only way to be festive on Valentine’s day. Try wearing a dress embellished with lace for a romantic and sophisticated look. Or wear a dress in your significant other’s favorite color.
PINK: How can you turn heads on Valentine’s Day without going overboard?
JF: For those women who do like red, the classic color definitely makes a bold, sexy statement. Dresses that show off your shoulders, such as a one shoulder dress, are also a worthy alternative.
PINK: What brands are offering great dresses for this holiday?
JF: There are tons of red and pink options out there this season. Herve Leger dresses will surely show off your curves. Red and lace are especially popular.
JH: Miriam Haskell’s new collection features pearls and other romantic details. Good Charma bracelets profess to bring good luck and ensure a successful Valentine’s Day.
PINK: What are your top five Rent the Runway picks for a perfect Valentine’s Day look?
JF: The Judith Leiber Love Struck bag, the Nicole Miller All Laced Up dress, the Herve Leger Cherry on Top dress, the Robert Rodriguez Collection Crimson Scalloped dress and the Erickson Beamon Heart of Glass earrings. (Must be registered to view.)
