The Most Popular Careers for Tech Savvy Young People

The tech industry is one of the most rapidly growing in the world. So there are lots of career options for young tech savvy people. Here are some of the most popular of those careers.

IT Manager
The head of the IT department in an office is the person that everyone goes to when the screen freezes or the wifi won’t connect, or an email won’t send. This means they have to be good at a broad range of tasks. It’s all about being able to tackle the tasks that are most needed in the workplace. You don’t need to have a specialism, but you do need broad knowledge. This is a growing profession, so there are plenty of opportunities for young people looking for work their first job in tech.

Database Administrator
Every company uses databases to store data in nowadays. There’s no way of keeping that data organized if the companies don’t have database administrators. And that means database administrators are always in demand among businesses. With so many career opportunities in this role, it’s becoming one of the most popular career choices for people who want an easy point of entry into a tech job. The role requires them to maintain the databases and make them as appropriate for the business as possible.

Web Developer
Those great designs and slick layouts that you see on your favorite websites had to be made and designed by someone. That’s the job of the web developer, and this is one of the most popular positions in the tech world. We all use websites, and creating them can be a lot of fun once you know what you’re doing. To get started and learning the basics, you could take Javascript training courses. Or you could enter full-time study if you want a more comprehensive approach to your learning.

Those who are familiar with web development can level-up their career by venturing out in the software engineering field. Web developers and software engineers are quite the same though the latter applies engineering principles on software creation. Both of these jobs are in demand. One reason many people wants to be part of the tech industry is because of high pay. An average salary of a software engineer can reach up to $91K in some cities, particularly, in Colorado.

Computer Programmer
To become a successful computer programmer, you have to have patience and persistence. When you’re coding a program, you will face a lot of problems. And the smallest mistake can cause the whole effort to fall apart. You spend half your time browsing through rows and rows of code looking for the mistake. The job will require you to write, rewrite, debug and test all kinds of software and programs that are essential to the functioning of the computer. It might be difficult, but it remains one of the most sought after jobs in tech.

Security Analyst
Security is becoming a big concern for tech companies. The risks of hacks are stronger than ever before. And if a company gets hacked, it could lose all the essential information of customers. This would be disastrous for the customers as well as the business. So, that’s why security analyst roles are becoming more common. Security analysts plan and organize the security networks of different companies to make sure that the risk of a hack or data breach is minimized as much as possible.

These careers are all great for young people who are searching for the right tech career for them.
