ATLANTA, Ga., August 30, 2019 – C-Suite women leaders of multinational corporations will headline PINK’s Signature Fall Empowerment Lunch Event on October 31st, from 10:30am to 2:00pm, at Crowne Plaza Ravinia, in Atlanta, Georgia. This marks the 15th anniversary of PINK’s world-class conferences which have inspired generations of women to achieve their career goals. “Top female business leaders from Coca-Cola, Deloitte, Aflac, Delta Air Lines and SunTrust will candidly share how they crushed fear in order to move into senior level jobs, so the more than 300 women attending can do the same,” said Cynthia Good, Chief Executive Officer, Little Pink Book.
Top women from these corporations will share their success secrets. Attendees can expect wisdom from these panelists: Allison Dukes, Chief Financial Officer, SunTrust; Janet Foutty, Chair of the Board, Deloitte; Nancy Quan, Chief Technical Officer, The Coca-Cola Company; Joanne Smith, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, Delta Air Lines; Audrey Boone Tillman, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Aflac. Lisa Rayam, Morning Edition Host and Producer, WABE, will moderate the panel. They will discuss how they learned to combat fear and anxiety to achieve their career goals and create a beautiful life—with a candid conversation about how they overcame setbacks by moving through challenges.
This year’s conference theme is Fearlessness. “Too often women become intimidated out of advocating for themselves, taking risks and making crucial decisions in the workplace,” says Good who cites one study that shows women applied for a promotion only when they met 100% of the qualifications, while men applied when they met 50%. PINK identifies Pat Mitchell as practically fearless. The first female president of PBS, co-creator of TEDWomen and winner of 37 Emmys, will receive PINK’s Legendary Woman of the Year Award to coincide with the release of her book, Becoming a Dangerous Woman, which she will sign and speak about at the event.
The gathering kicks off with the opportunity to network and shop with like-minded professionals at vendor booths from women-owned companies. The lunch and panel discussion will include top tips and lessons C-Suite women leaders learned throughout their careers. The session will conclude with a Q&A, followed by additional networking opportunities and a drawing to raise funds and awareness for Dress for Success, a nonprofit that helps women find jobs. PINK has raised more than $100,000 over the years for nonprofits that support women and/or girls. Event sponsors include Your Atlanta Area BMW Dealers, The Coca-Cola Company, SunTrust and Southern Company.
Now in its 15th year, PINK, aka Little Pink Book, is America’s top digital platform, offering bi-annual world-class events to develop, inspire and celebrate the nation’s 75 million working women.
