You Don't Need a Network…

I hope the title caught your attention. It’s a bit tongue-in-cheek because you really do need a network if you want to:

• Be successful in your current job
• Find a new job outside your company
• Learn about job opportunities inside your company
• Build your professional brand

According to a recent survey, Leading Women members use their internal and external networks differently.

• For success in their current job and for information on opportunities inside their companies, they rely on relationships with colleagues, clients and people higher in the organization.
• To develop their professional brand and to find a new opportunity outside their company, they develop relationships with colleagues, professional associations and online professional networks.

How much time do you invest in developing reciprocal relationships with people inside your company… and those outside? For overall success, it’s important to take time to do both.

Weigh in on our survey. Just 5 quick questions. Find it here.
