Apps That Will Make Your Small Business A Breeze

Today, modern business is totally reliant on the digital world, and this certainly isn’t going to change any time soon! More and more, we’re seeing new businesses spring up that are run from a network of different devices, which don’t even have to be in the same country to keep things organised. In this digital world, is hugely important to take advantage of all the handy tech at your disposal. Here’s some of the best apps you should consider using for your small business.

First of all, a note taking and archiving app. Like many people, you may have stuck with pens and paper for a long time after the digital revolution. Again, like many, you may have lost a notebook or document with some very important information on it, and gone through all kinds of frustration and regret while you had to deal with the consequences. Get a good app for taking and archiving notes, such as Evernote, and finding those important details when you need them will become much easier. This may sound a little basic. You’ve already got a memo app on your phone or tablet, right? However, you can also use apps like Evernote to structure blog posts, take notes during client calls, and organize all your important business information in a way that works for you.

Point of sale apps are another great tool you should start using for your small business. If you’re running a physical outlet, then you’re probably used to cards that are so old your chip-and-pin device has a hard time reading them, or contactless ones that take several attempts before the payment actually goes through. Find a reliable credit card reader app, and you’ll be able to forget about all these annoying technical hiccups. These are modern times, and now all you really need to receive a payment by card is the camera on a smartphone or a tablet. Simply enter the amount, line the card up with the app’s camera markers, and the payment will be received almost instantly. As you can imagine, there have been a lot of security concerns surrounding this kind of tech, but all the major companies have assured us that it’s airtight.

Finally, accounting software. If you’re in the very first days of running your business, then you may have a perfectly good handle on all your finances just by using excel. However, if you plan to grow at all, this is quickly going to be inadequate. The more money you handle, the more complex your accounting demands are going to be. You can mitigate this issue with some good accounting software. Using a trusty accounting app will allow you to deal with all your accounting tasks much faster, errors will be minimized as it doesn’t rely as much on your input, and you’ll find all the financial information regarding your business much easier to digest. Why not check out some accounting software specifically for small businesses? Wave is one program which has been consistently praised by business journals.
