Many of us have jumped over hoops (or rings of fire) this past year to keep businesses afloat. Those who made it worked hard to remain optimistic. Well, turns out your positive perspective and resilience might pay you back.
In a recent survey by Women in Consulting, almost half of participants saw an increase in profits last year, and 69 percent expect revenue to increase in the coming year. A positive attitude means these owners were more likely to implement new, winning strategies, website updates and improved newsletters, thus increasing revenue.
This is how women leaders use positive attitude to their company’s advantage:
They focus on the things they can fix. They turn off their inner critic and pursue business opportunities they have a good feeling about and expect a positive outcome, says Entrepreneur.com.
Experts agree: a motivated team is key to increasing profits. Getting to know staff’s goals, rewarding ideas and evaluating the progress of projects helps breed success.
Want to eliminate office negativity? Provide opportunities during work hours to relax, stay away from condescending language and hold one-on-one employee meetings. If all else fails, bring free food.
