Learn to Coupon and Save Money for the Holidays

An extreme couponer forms business and helps others with Quick Couponing

Meet Pamela Davis. Instead of paying a lot at the grocery store to feed her growing family, she turned to couponing and ended up saving hundreds of dollars each month. Soon, she became an expert, appeared on TLC’s “Extreme Couponing,” and now helps others learn to coupon at her business, Quick Couponing, www.quickcouponing.com. I recently spoke to this extreme couponer and entrepreneur, and here’s what she had to say:

Tell us about Quick Couponing and why you started the business.

Quick Couponing is a training program dedicated to teaching people how to save 50% or more off of their monthly grocery expenses by using coupons. I started this business for all of the people who wanted to learn how to coupon like an extreme couponer but thought to themselves, “there’s just not enough hours in the day.”

As a wife, mother, step-mom, business owner, manager at a Fortune 500 company, not to mention a host of other roles that I hold in my life, I could relate to wanting these sorts of savings, but not having 40 hours a week to dedicate to couponing, like most couponers or extreme couponers.

Quick Couponing changed this for me and many others. This video series teaches step-by-step how to coupon or even “extreme coupon” in a fraction of the time typically required and helps us busy folks save thousands of dollars each year.

Most people think it takes too much time and effort to save with coupons. What tips can you provide for busy, businesswomen when it comes to couponing?

If you want to save time and coupon like the pros, then do not speculate and allow Quick Couponing to teach you the tricks to saving time and money. This is the best tip I can provide. Quick Couponing teaches you how to leverage, leverage, leverage and make the most of the time you spend couponing by making sure that you see your return on investment.

ROI is not just on money, it’s on time as well.  So if you invest three hours that week, decide how much money you need to save to make it worth the time you invested. My personal goal is to at least save 50% or more every time I set foot in a grocery store, and with the Quick Couponing techniques it’s easy.

How can people use coupons to save hundreds this holiday season?

The art of couponing is all about stacking coupons on top of sale prices to optimize your savings. The holidays make some of the best times to practice this art because they typically present the best deals of the year.

Make sure that before you go shopping this holiday season, you check for coupons online with simple Google searches, following couponing blogs and Facebook pages like @QuickCouponing. Also, visit the websites of the specific brands that you are looking for to find additional coupons. You can add these on top of the already low, sales prices that you will find in stores this season.

What challenges did you face as a woman starting your own business, and how did you overcome those challenges?

My biggest challenge with starting my business was actually STARTING! I am such a perfectionist and wanted to have everything that I saw in my head become a reality before I took any steps to even incorporate and register my business, but after listening to some really good mentors and business coaches, I stopped waiting and started moving.

One day at a time, one action item at a time. I stopped “thinking” about doing it, I stopped “planning” to do it and I just DID it. I started and I have not looked back since.

What advice do you have for other women who want to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams?

Just do it, start now. As women, we always have 101 things going on at one time and because of this, we tend to put everyone else wants and needs before our own. Well, stop. If you have a desire to start a business, put on your Nike’s and “JUST DO IT”!

Stop researching, planning, thinking and practicing; stop waiting for the kids to get older or your husband to work less hours or any other thing that involves you prolonging your dream. Like I tell my students, START TODAY.

Is there anything you would like to add?

If you are looking for ways to save money, to have more cash for yourself or your family, to purchase the things that you have on your holiday shopping list this season or to save up to start your own business, then leverage the art of couponing. It’s easy to learn with Quick Couponing, it’s fun and you can save a ton of money.

Thanks so much Pam for your encouraging words and money-saving tips!
