A new season of Mad Men returns to TV screens this Sunday. What better way to celebrate than by rocking some retro style at work?
This spring’s ready-to-wear runways reveal how the ‘60s have inspired many designers.
Alice + Olivia’s models sported inspired shift dresses and hair in high buns while Erin Fetherston’s girls were Twiggy look-a-likes.
Though popular office trends of this decade like dyed fake-fur and pillbox hats don’t exactly translate today, there are still plenty of ways to pull of this vintage style.
With that in mind, Little PINK Book found some chic office ensembles for the Joan, Peggy or Betty in all of us.
Form-fitting peplum dresses pair well with ankle-strap pumps to recreate a toned-down version of no-nonsense secretary Joan Holloway’s curve-conscious style. Accessorize with her ever-present pen necklace, or opt for a more modern pendant style.
Peggy often wears classic, conservative pieces while struggling to be taken seriously at work by her male peers (some things never change). Simple pearl earrings are the perfect complement to this oversized-bow dress. Take the look up a notch with animal-print pumps.
Channel the always-unpredictable Betty with a sleeveless peter pan-collared blouse layered with a vintage-style cardigan. You can add a pair of cropped dress pants and swap out bright accessories for a bold red lip.
Bonus PINK Link: If your style leans more toward Don Draper, check out his closet, her style.
