There are usually many networking events going on in towns and cities. Some even aimed at the local freelance and self-employed community. It’s a great idea to head down to one of these and make as many contacts as possible. Both business and social contacts! If you know a few people who are in the same boat as you then you will have a safety net of fellow sole traders who you can always contact. Whenever you have a query about anything, give someone a call and ask for their opinion. Even if they aren’t in the same industry as you, they might have other experiences they can draw knowledge from.

Google
Okay, so Google may not be a person, but it sure is a super useful tool! There seems to be nothing that the handy search engine can find. Websites that are full of these resources for female business owners are extremely useful for any business women. There is a wealth of knowledge to be found on the internet. It’s like a free encyclopedia for entrepreneurs. Even if you can’t find the answers you are looking for, you may be able to find the contact details of a professional who could help. There are also lots of online message boards aimed at self-employed professionals. It can also become a handy tool for networking!

Your Partner
Your partner may not be the most obvious source of help, but they will be a great source of emotional strength and support. If you are ever feeling overwhelmed with work, speak to your better half. They will be able to offer you a shoulder to cry on when times get tough. And they will surely be able to cheer you up, even in the most stressful of times!
