“The time to build your network is when you don’t need it.“
Susan Colantuono
Many women (and men) don’t actively build a network when things are going well on the job…. Then, when there’s a crisis, they start behind the field. Connecting to others from scratch is a process that takes time and effort before payback.
During the process of looking for a new opportunity, you are tapping into and extending your network for professional success.
When starting your new position, it’s important to have a plan to build relationships internally and externally as part of your onboarding and ongoing success.
And, always remember that networking is about reciprocity – the “give” and the “get.”
Network ON!
