Happy New Year + Thanks For Being Part of PINK’s Community

Happy holidays to one, to all.
Time to reach lofty goals
and have a ball.

Take a risk. Dare to fall.
Cause life’s too short
to spend at the mall.

Make your difference.
Now’s the time.
Just do it. Skip
waiting in line.
You’ll come out just fine.

Get the skills you’ll need
to get ahead.
Classes in business, a mentor
a sponsor we’ve said.
You’ve got the rest in your hands
your heart and your head.

Do something you love
and you’ll rise above.

What do you lose if you don’t
ask for what you want?
Answer is, you’ll continue
to get what you’ve always got.

You deserve much more.
You deserve a lot.
Whether you’re worried
about dignity or not
Better to ask, to try.
At least then you fought.

And as you do, remember
be kind to one another.
Everyone’s trying. Your boss
your client, your sister, your brother.

And don’t forget to take
care of self!
Try yoga. Take a breath.
Put your worries on a shelf.

Cause nothing’s more
important than your health.
And the people you love.
That’s the real wealth.

Life is short. Don’t miss
your chance.
In 2016 – it’s your turn
to advance.

You have support. Not just
the seat of your pants.
And along the way
remember to enjoy and
get out there and dance!

Love,
Cynthia Good,
PINK CEO

Note: Special thanks to my dearest friend and editor Lea Donosky who once edited a Georgia Poet Laureate! To my friend and the exceedingly talented Bubba Carr who took these photos and the capable and kind team at PINK including Alicia Michels, Mavian Arocha-Rowe and Emma Loggins, and all of you, the 90,000+ women and a few good men, this goes out to, who try to, as Carole King wrote, “…get up every morning with a smile on your face and show the world all the love in your heart…”
