Making sure your company website is cutting edge can be as easy as ensuring that it’s professional, reliable and easy to navigate.
“Start with reading through Google’s website guidelines,” say Bobbye Brooks and Tonilee Adamson of Media4Women, an online marketing company. “Make your homepage stand out with a clear message of what you do.” They also suggest making it easy for customers to reach you by putting top social media icons on your homepage with links to your business pages on those sites.
What should you avoid? Pop-ups, dated graphics, excessive text and images that take a while to load, suggest Brooks and Adamson.
“People will leave a website if the content takes too long to open. Make sure your website opens instantly with all of the graphics and videos ready to play.”
