5:30pm – 8:00pm

The New York Times reports “although around 40% of private companies in the US are owned by women, there is still a significant lack of female entrepreneurship in the tech sector — only 8% of American venture-backed tech startups are founded by female CEOs.”

Join us on Tuesday, March 27th, 5:30 pm at the InterContinental Hotel Buckhead for a panel discussion focusing on female entrepreneurs. We’ll hear from female founders of leading advertising and technology companies in the Atlanta market. Panelist include:

– Kris Zagoria, Founder, Moxie Interactive

– Lynne Laube, President & Co-Founder, Cardlytics,

– Caroline Van Sickle, Founder & CEO, Pretty in my Pocket (PRIMP)

Moderated By Nicola Smith, VP Innovation, Engauge & Digital Diva Board Member

Caroline Van Sickle, Founder/CEO, Pretty in My Pocket

Caroline Van Sickle often struggled with shopping for beauty products in drug stores or mass retailers; the options were endless, as were the purchase blunders due to the lack of applicable, real-time product reviews and information. No single source for unbiased product reviews and recommendations with discounts, beauty tips, “virtual makeup bags,” and deluxe samples existed in the US market. As a result, in 2010, Caroline founded Pretty In My Pocket (PRIMP), a mobile shopping assistant for beauty products in the brick and mortar stores. With a quick mobile bar code scan, members can discover new products, get reviews, score local beauty coupons and have fun while shopping for beauty products.

Prior to launching PRIMP, Caroline worked in the advertising and marketing industries, including working with several of the Time Warner media properties such as AOL, CNN, TBS/TNT and Time Inc. Emerging mobile media and reaching the consumer at the point of sale in a fun, measurable and engaging way became her mission with Pretty in my Pocket.

Caroline recently completed her MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, in addition to graduating cum laude from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.www.prettyinmypocket.com
