Nine Solutions To Irritating Beauty Problems We Face

Hair, makeup, and fashion.  These three things can bring such joy and comfort to peoples’ lives. They can help to improve your confidence and self-esteem, express your creativity and personality, and inspire others with your killer looks and confidence. However, beauty is far from simple, and there are a lot of problems that you have to face on your journey to feeling beautiful. Luckily, these problems don’t have to turn into nightmares, if you know what you’re doing. With this in mind, here are nine beauty problems we all face, and how to combat them.

Quick Hair Regrowth
If you tend to shave, you’ll know how much of a nightmare it is. You have to get into some pretty weird positions to get every hair, and it takes a long time, but once the ordeal is over, you’re left feeling like a newly born dolphin, and everything is right in the world, yes? Unfortunately, this often isn’t the case, and you wake up a day or two later with cactus legs once more. To avoid this, you have to exfoliate before shaving. This will free any hairs hidden just below the surface so that you can get rid of them, and they don’t pop later on.

Acne Breakouts
Most people think that acne and spots go away when your teenage years end, but this is rarely the case. Breakouts can occur at any time for a number of reasons, usually when you least want them to. To treat your acne, you need to figure out what’s causing it. This could be anything from stress to bacteria. If you’re still stuck, you could visit a dermatologist, who will be able to prescribe something or offer advice on what you can do to get rid of your spots.

Dry Skin
Everyone faces dry skin now and then, especially during the winter months when there’s less moisture in the air. Luckily, this is a pretty simple problem to combat; All you need to do is keep your skin hydrated. You can do this by drinking plenty of water and applying moisturizer every morning and evening. Make sure that you find a good quality one that is suitable for your skin type. If your skin starts to feel dry throughout the day, just dab a small amount to the dry area to give it a boost.

Ruined Makeup Brushes
Makeup brushes aren’t meant to last forever, but if they’re lasting no time at all, and you’ve spent a lot of money on a good quality set, then you need to take action. The likely cause of your ruined brushes is leaving products to sit on them for too long, and not cleaning them regularly enough. The buildup of bacteria on your brushes could also result in acne, so it’s essential that you clean your brushes about once a month. You can do this with dish soap and warm water, and then leave them to dry flat on a paper towel.

Thin, Limp Hair
For those that have thin hair, it can feel like a curse. You try your whole life to make it more voluminous and only succeed in making it even more limp. Ironically, your volumizing efforts are usually the cause of your limp hair, as the products you use weigh it down. The most you need is a good quality sea salt spray to add some texture. If you’re still not happy with your hair, then a change may be in order. You can start by clicking here to see some different hairstyles that suit thin hair. It may not feel like it at the moment, but your hair can look and feel beautiful.

Chapped Lips
No one enjoys having chapped lips; They don’t look very nice, they ruin your lipstick, and often result in your lip splitting, which is downright painful. Drinking lots of water is a great tip for chapped lips too, but so is exfoliating your lips with a lip scrub, or creating your own with honey and coffee grounds. A good quality lip balm is also essential, and a tinted one would mean that you don’t need lipstick.

Makeup Fading
Your makeup may look picture perfect when you leave the house, but it can easily smudge or fade away as the hours pass, especially when it comes to your eye shadow. This is annoying when you’ve spent a while on your makeup and loved how it looked. To avoid this, you should apply a primer before you apply any other makeup. Not only does this keep your makeup in place, but it also reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, so you look younger for longer.

Tearing Tights
Tights are a godsend and a curse, but mainly a curse. While they are useful for prickly days, more often than not, they rip or ladder, making them completely useless. To avoid this happening, invest in a few pairs of ladder resistant tights, and avoid wearing bracelets or rings that could catch or snag a thread. You should also carry around a small can of hairspray or clear nail varnish, to dab on a ladder, to avoid it getting any bigger throughout the day.

Self-Tanner Stains
Self-tanner is definitely better for you than using a sunbed, but I doubt your lovely white bed sheets would agree. To avoid unfortunate stains occurring throughout the night, try to tan as early in the day as you can, and then rinse off in the shower a few hours later to remove the temporary bronzer. If this isn’t possible, and you’ve had to tan closer to bedtime, you should brush baby power over your entire body once the tan has dried. This will form a barrier to stop tan staining your sheets, without changing the color.

Beauty is all about confidence, creativity, and fun, but sometimes it can seem more like a chore. There are plenty of problems that you have to face, but, hopefully, with this advice, you can combat these problems quickly and get back to enjoying yourself.
