Avoid the SEO Noise

What do you really need to know about search engine optimization?

When it comes to search engine optimization or SEO, there is a lot of noise out there. It seems like everyone is talking about Google’s algorithm changes and how you need to optimize your content for the search engines to be successful.

But for many of you, SEO is just another thing on your “To Do” list, right?

After all, you already have a bunch of top priorities to finish this week alone, and you need to focus on keeping your current customers happy. Plus, you’ve heard horror stories from fellow entrepreneurs who have spent a fortune on their SEO technology… only to end up with dismal results and huge headaches.

This doesn’t have to happen to you.

Instead, I’m going to give you the simple, key nuggets you really need to make SEO work for you and your business (without wasting time, money or effort).

Ready?

Well, first of all…

What is SEO, anyway?

Search engine optimization is simply a way of writing your content so that it gets noticed online.

Basically, when someone enters specific words via a search engine site like Google, Bing, Yahoo!, etc., links to various website pages appear in order, relative to that topic. If you write your content the right way, links to your website will rank towards the top of these results.

And guess what?

You don’t have to pay a fortune in advertising or be technically-savvy to get top, search-engine rankings!

That’s right. You can actually ignore all of the tech mumbo-jumbo out there and concentrate on one thing: Quality!

It’s pretty much impossible to keep up with the constant algorithm changes and updates going on with the various search engines, especially if you are a busy entrepreneur. And the good news is that you don’t have to, and here’s why….

Today, search engines look for high-quality content. Specifically, Google states:

“Give visitors the information they’re looking for. Provide high-quality content on your pages, especially your homepage. This is the single most important thing to do. If your pages contain useful information, their content will attract many visitors and entice webmasters to link to your site.” (https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/40349?hl=en)

In other words, the more value you provide to your customers, the more valuable Google will rank your content.

Phew! What a relief!

You just need to focus on giving your customers valuable information.
