After-work engagements, whether planned or last- minute, often call for a speedy transition from day to evening.

With the help of hot new fashion designer Hilton Hollis and stylist Alison Deyette, founder of alionthego.com and a regular on TV’s Today and The View, PINK shares how to glam up your look in minutes.
In the Bag
Alison Deyette: “Most women carry briefcases to work, so put bigger earrings, a multistranded jeweled necklace or any standout jewelry inside a clutch and put that in your briefcase. Throw in some sexier shoes as well. Changing your accessories can add instant appeal.”
Hilton Hollis: “Every woman should have a ‘go-to’ bag with eye shadows, lip gloss and shimmer that she keeps in her desk drawer. You never know when after-work dinners or meetings may come up.”
Easy Pieces
A.D.: “Dresses are easier to deal with when going from the office to an event. For instance, wear a red shift dress to work with basic accessories. After hours, change to gold heels and add a studded pin, or long drop earrings, and a cuff bracelet. Suddenly you’ve got that va-va-voom factor.”
H.H.: “I like to see a woman with a dress suit because it’s more feminine. You can wear a sexier shirt underneath your jacket, such as a chiffon blouse or a sequined top. Beaded tops are also great because they can be sophisticated enough for day, but also sexier for night. After work, all you have to do is take off your jacket.”
