Meet Kristin McClure, a Dunkin’ Donuts franchise owner.
McClure currently owns three locations. And she’s in the process of expanding to three more, in the next year. What’s more – her businesses are in Kansas City, while she lives in Boston.
What are her tips for other women wanting to double up? “Having reliable business partners familiar with the local community, makes all the difference,” she says.
Not only do you have to trust your business partner, you’ll need to hire a team of dependable employees. Projections show women owning small businesses will produce up to 5.5 million new jobs throughout the U.S., by 2018.
When running multiple businesses at once, being a franchise owner can be beneficial, as opposed to developing several independent operations.
McClure adds the most rewarding part of owning multiple businesses is: “The pride in seeing something from start to finish.”
