4 Steps to Prosperity

“Prosperity” has different meanings – monetary wealth, happiness, or health.

While the Fed plans to spend $40 billion trying to revive the flailing economy, the definition of “prosperity” is ever-changing. How do we know the way to get there?

For Kate McKay, founder of Too Big for her Britches, it’s all about the “four B’s”.

As the sixth of nine children, McKay always had a big personality – her mother told her she was “too big for her britches.” She would shy behind her ‘big’ tendencies as a child, but she now embraces her personality as a strength.

Her new goal? To be a mirror for other women to be prosperous, too.

Her B’s are:

Biz. Passionate about sharing her business success story, McKay evolved from waitress to entrepreneur of a multimillion-dollar precious metals company. Having the business skills and information is necessary for business prosperity.

Bod. Physicality is linked to well-being. As a mother of three, McKay says women can celebrate their femininity even in their 40s, after babies. A former fitness trainer, she placed first in a fitness competition last year – aged 47.

Bucks. In less than three years, McKay grew her net worth from negative to over one million dollars. She recommends women “think from abundance and not scarcity” in order to set high goals for their business aspirations.

Breakthroughs. This “B” is all about transitions. Often women’s changes are “solo missions” and can be isolating. McKay strives to be an “open vessel” to share her own transitions through divorce and career changes to inspire other women.

Define what being prosperous means to you, and strive to achieve it. Keep the four B’s in mind to add prosperity to your life as well!
